Clearly taxable. "All income from whatever source derived," and there's no statutory exception.

IMHO not subject to SE tax, because no one is in the trade or business of donating parts of themselves.

Agreed. On consideration, all sorts of thing are taxable as income.

It was the self-employment part that bugged me. I know we call birthing "labor" but it's NOT taxable as self-employment even if we were paid (in barter?!) Expelling eggs seems to be in that same area to me.

*shrug* When I was considering donating eggs in my 20s, I completely expected to pay taxes on the compensation.
