This is one of those stories that float around all around South Korea & China, sort of along the lines of the whole, meet a sexy stranger at a bar, wake up in a hotel bathtub with a kidney missing type of story. It's because South Korean plastic surgery is SO GOOD, and at least in South Korea, the norm. Out of a total of five female grandchildren of my maternal grandma, I am the only one who hasn't had plastic surgery - everyone else has had eye surgery and/or nose surgery and/or chin/jaw surgery and also is constantly on a diet. Plastic surgery to alter eye shape isn't even considered plastic surgery any more (though undoubtedly, it is). And the reason I haven't had it is because I returned to Korea at 30 after leaving at 7 and had gotten used to my own face too much. If I'd stayed here my whole life I'm sure I'd've gotten something done
