A bed bound guy in Kansas in a nursing home caught it and died, and they discovered it post-mortem. He apparently picked it up... somehow?

Our public library is still open, but our system is much bigger than yours. I really hope it remains open because the kids are out of school for an entire month and boredom is inevitable.

Yeah, I'm not looking at my TSP at the moment, and thinking "You're buying cheap shares, you're buying cheap shares" over and over, as if I was wearing Ruby Slippers and it was going to send me home from Oz.

We're expecting that they'll make an announcement restricting movement tomorrow, and so made a bigger-than-normal grocery order for tonight. I'm hoping I can sneak out to the Oriental Grocery tomorrow to stock up on Tofu and some other spices we need -- if we are stuck without groceries, we can feed ourselves for a couple of months on the rice in the pantry and my jars of lentils and cans of beans, but we're going to need to spice things up a bit as well. (Plus, I'm dying to try my hand at Mapo Tofu, and life without pockmarked grandmother sauce is unworthy of consideration)

Are you back in the States now? (I read up on the craziness going on with your son, but am not sure of your status at the moment.)

Spain is going into lockdown and that is that. We can go out and get food, go to pharmacies and doctors (but not unless it's an emergency)and to work if we can't work from home but there is nothing open, no shops, no restaurants, bars, parks...nothing. And going out and walking for exercise as we do every day is also forbidden. Time to dust off the elliptical machine which I hate.

It won't be forever.

We moved the descendant out of the dorm today. It was strange - they’re still on break, and there were a few other people who were also doing it. But its mid March, not May.

Not a lot of people about relative to “normal” downtown Boston
