Way to go! Always nice to get some tangible confirmation that your practice is working.

Do you feed the birds? I bet they'd polish off that stale cornbread for you! We keep a container in the fridge for scraps; every morning my crows wait for me to come out and put their breakfast up in the trees (so the seagulls don't get it,) and caw impatiently if I'm not quick enough.

Stale cornbread practically shouts to be crumbled and covered with buttermilk, along with some diced onions if you fancy, and eaten with a spoon. Soooo good!

That's very exciting about the lack of corn allergy and how successful your mindfulness was.

FWIW, I freeze small portions of baked goods (half a donut, a slice of cornbread) so that my gluttony competes with my sloth, and sloth usually wins. If I have to go to the basement to get it and then wait for it to thaw, I won't bother unless I reallllllly want it. If the almonds are in the same room with me, it's easier to pick those. It also helps with portion control for planned eating -- I can plan to take out a piece and let it thaw on the counter overnight to be eaten the next morning.

This was good to read. Thank you.

Corn allergy changes are interesting. I hope when fresh corn is available next, you experience a similar lack of symptoms!
