AICPA Engage conference 6/12-6/14/17

I have wanted to go to this conference for many years, but it was always in January - not useful for a tax accountant. This year the AICPA moved the conference to run concurrent with a bunch of other conferences, all overlapping, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. I have a bunch of notes and I need to write about this to consolidate what I took away,

The Oklahoma Society of CPAs just changed the title of President to Chairman, on the grounds that that was the modern, gender-neutral, way to go.

Now and then, they bemoan the fact that young (by which they mean "under 40") people don't want to be members, despite their diligent efforts to be modern and gender-neutral.

Wait, TO "chairman"?!

It is so confusing why people aren't expected to be non-male, non-white humans. I guess accountants aren't known for their creativity.
