Laptop decisions?

Constants: HP Pavilion, 2GB RAM, Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor T2300 (1.66 GHz), 40GB Hard drive (I plan on getting a 300MB External Hard drive to store media and crap), DVD+/-RW/R & CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer Support, Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG, $1300

Variables:

    Congratulations on Japan!! <3<3<3

    All I can add is that Apple is releasing an Intel iBook sometime this summer (June or July according to the grapevine) and that it will probably be more like $1000, and that my iBook is my best friend. As for thickness- are you going to basically leave it on a desk, or really move around a lot with it? Because if the latter, I feel like thickness makes less of a difference than weight.

    Get the 12 cell battery, The extra battery life far outweighs any cons you'll have :)
