Loved this and I think it has exactly the right insight into where the show is going, at least how I interpret it - that the only way Cal and Gill can rebuild their relationship on a different basis is if it's current incarnation is somehow wiped out first. Not that I think Cal actually *knows* what he's doing.

Anyway, it's a lovely fic.

Yeah. Well, Cal did spell it out for us. He doesn't understand people. He's blindly going where he's never gone before.

I just hope he really has seen the problem of their relationship and that is his reasoning. Otherwise, the asshatery for nothing is just uncool.
