Born in 1943, joined the U.S. Army in Feb '66 as an infantry private, worked his way up to Ltc., served in Vietnam, served as Deputy Community Commander of Karlsruhe Germany, and only thing medically wrong is high blood pressure and a slight gut.

I love you dad, even if I don't say it all that often.
