Huh. That fits his views quite nicely, I'd say.

Thank you. He is not a happy camper at this point in his life.

Ah, but there is hope for the future, so long as you're alive. Could just be my own outlook coloring things, but I thought I caught vague hints of that, as well.

The timing of the piece gives me hope that once he has worked through something in Endless Waltz life gets better.

Very well done and thought! I never really thought about the Wufei of the in between wars but yours feels very true to the character.

Thank you. The time between the series and Endless Waltz isn't really explored much and Wufei seems to change a lot in that time period.

Wufei always has been a hard to get understand character... probably because he might be the more lost of all the Gboys (and that's saying a lot! :D).I liked your piece. Makes me want to read more about Wufei!

He's been my favorite character since the first time I saw the series. I'm glad it makes you want to read more about him.

I keep hoping coherent comments will come to me, but I just get so tied up in this that anything coherent is impossible.

He was, in this and every moment, a husband without a wife, a colonist without a colony, and a warrior without a war.

This is so the Wufei mindset I try to focus on, though I don't think I do it nearly as well.

The mental imagery is so deep and ummf.... no words that fit!!! I almost had coherent. ^_^

*hugs* Going back to my happy corner now.

*hugs back* I've never thought of incoherence as a compliment before, but I do now.

Wufei seems so focused on his losses and the things he should, but can't be that he loses who and what he is now.

*loves on your icon* He is the perfect Klingon!

This was really lovely. The writing in itself was artful-- I especially liked the sequence "husband without a wife, colonist without a colony, warrior without a war" and the line "Was he as obsolete as the Gundam he refused to turn over to Quatre?" Beautiful wordplay. Also very in character, old-soul without being inappropriately mature for his age. I'm glad you shared it!

Thank you! I really enjoy doing word play so it makes me very happy that it came across well.

;_; Awww, Wufei. I really like the prose here. It's handled delicately/strongly as you described his conflicting feelings and views. Especially He was, in this and every moment, a husband without a wife, a colonist without a colony, and a warrior without a war.
