I was giggling like a madwoman all the way through, but this really had me cracking up:

As far as she could tell, it consisted of painfully polite (Relena) and bluntly honest (Heero) conversation about everything EXCEPT the possibility of future couple-hood, lightening glances and tiny, shy smiles.

'Cause, you see, someone once pointed this out to me, when it happened in one of my fics:

light·en·ing /ˈlaɪtnɪŋ/ Pronunciation[lahyt-n-ing]
-noun Medicine/Medical. the descent of the uterus into the pelvic cavity, occurring toward the end of pregnancy, changing the contour of the abdomen and facilitating breathing by lessening pressure under the diaphragm.

^^

Linkage is coming up! I think I would have snagged this even if you hadn't offered. It's is priceless.

Stupid English language.

Yep. ^_^; Which reminds me, I still need to correct the "cousin" in my last fic...

That was hysterical. Loved the Cathy/Wufei interaction and Duo getting tackled. Doro and Sylvia is intriguing as hell.

Yeah. Weird pairings are fun. So how about a rare pairings tag? After all, variety is the spice of life, you know? (Not that I'm dissing 1=2 or 3=4 or anything, everyone writes what they want, but there are almost as many stories with the heero/duo tag as there are other pairings put together. (Really, I counted, because I'm obsessive like that. 171 Heero/Duo, 177 any other pairing, and 96 of those are Trowa/Quatre.))

Hope that didn't come across as whining. There are just so many fun characters and possibilities, and they all deserve to be played with just a little. Especially the girls. I can't be the only one who sees endless yuri possibilities, can I?

(I mean, I might actually write Heero and Relena with someone else than each other one day. Shock, I know.)

(Or that AU Heero/Relena yuri thing I've got swirling around in my brain.)

I really hope I don't sound...pouty, or bitchy, or too complainy, or... Shutting up now.

O_O H - Heero/Relena... yuri?

Must. Not. Drool.

*stuffs mouth with tissues* *muffled:* If you write that, I swear I'll write you something equally cracky with Heero and/or Relena in return. I've written Heero/Meilan and am planning something with Relena/Middie, so there isn't much that can render me speechless anymore.

(PS: Even though I love my canons, as someone hosting an alt pairings challenge, of course I'm seconding variation in pairing patterns. *happily whines along* ;D )

It might take some time (like, a month-six weeks or more). I have essays to complete. (Not that I've been very good at working on them. It's just that I think this one might be a little longer than what I usually write, and it's still pretty vague.) I'll drop you a link when I'm done, okay?

Do you think it would be rude to tentatively suggest a "write one of the following pairings, which has less than five on the tag"-prompt? Or yuri-week or het-week or something?

Modly greatnesses, if you see this, tell me if I need to shut up. (And if I'm not overstepping myself, can you consider it?)
