You mean... when we go home? Dunno. I've talked to a couple of people when they got dragged back here a second time and they were always all messed up. Like they didn't know the day, or where they were, and sometimes even forgot people that knew them.

Maybe not. I mean... think about it, if you brought all that knowledge back home, you'll just warn others to avoid making the same mistake we all did, right? That's bad for business, far as this place goes.

That is not quite my meaning either.

Caitlin Todd died five years ago, to my reckoning--though to her, it had not happened yet. I warned her of the circumstances of it.

Even if she manages to avoid those circumstances, it could not change history as I know it, yes? Creating two different worlds, at best.

[ There is a long, heavy pause here. ] That's... I don't know. Time paradoxes aren't exactly my specialty. If we're talking relativity as it fits foldspace travel, sure, but not tell someone in the past how to avoid something bad happening to them.
