[F-finally, someone with actually semi-normal parents; but Oz smiles a bit.]

You spent a vacation in a swamp?

Most of it, yeah. Papa insisted that we go to Baticul a few times, but since it was almost an entire day's travel away it was nighttime by the time we finally got there.

The capitol city of Kimlasca! It's a pretty advanced city, pretty popular with tourists... There's a colosseum, a pretty big church, the castle...

...A 'bank' is an acceptable gift on Father's day?

Pretty much anything is, as long as it's something your father likes~!

That didn't actually happen, did it?

...Although I agree that probably was a good gift in theory.

...Yeah, it did. Stupidly enough that was the only time we've ever actually gone on vacation, even if it was the worst one ever.

I see.

I haven't ever been on one either, if that makes you feel better. It's probably a little less shocking in my case, though.

Ditto on the lol'ing. charmingmaster June 23 2009, 21:28:02 UTC
Such a thoughtful gift. But I wonder if your father ever made use of it.

Papa's terrible at keeping any Gald he gets for more than a few minutes, between his tithings and the pyramid schemes he's constantly getting stuck in... I'd be surprised if there was more than 200 Gald in there at any one time. Booooo.

Is that so? How unfortunate. It almost sounds as though anyone could convince your father to give them his money.

...One would think that eventually he would learn at least some wariness. Even rats eventually learn to avoid electric shock.

I suppose there's no helping it.
