Well. It seems that Nuadoria has installed a revolving door to Gaia. Now if only it operated on command.

[A soft sigh.]

It appears that I'm back for the indefinite future. It's a little surprising that Nuadoria hasn't spontaneously ended in the meantime, given its tendency to attract trouble. So, has anything interesting happened lately?

[Well that's--

TRYING TO DECIDE IF HE HAS A GRUDGE, but he's too relieved to bother right now.]

... 7th Heaven? Did you hit your head on the way in?

Well, last I recall there was that place that Lockhart set up some time ago... It's probably been abandoned, but there always seems to be free flow of alcohol there. Or seemed, anyway. I'm not certain how much time has passed.

[He seems to have forgotten about the grudge.]

I'm glad to see you well, though.

That was cleaned out a long time ago. It's a shame nobody took up the cause when she left.

[That's just fine with him.]

--Yeah, you too. How's Gaia?

Pity. Is there anywhere else worth hanging out, then?

Gaia's in remarkably good condition, considering. The President is rebuilding...

[Pause]

The memories do seem to be becoming a little hazier, however. Perhaps something was lost in the transition.

Sharp intake of breath.

[Not going to overreact, not going to overreact, not going to overreact...]

...I'm happy to see you're okay, Sir.

Last part comes out as a kind of choked-back squeak.

I'm glad to see you as well, Elena. How have you been?

[And the squeak doesn't quite go unnoticed]

... Have I suddenly become so scary?

What? Huh? No, I don't think you're scary most of the time I was just worried about you. In a totally professional context of course, but whatever context you want is fine with me and oh Gods I can't believe I just said that and uh--

-- I'm okay. I've been trying to make myself useful. Like a good Turk.
