[The recent... rather disturbing posts on the network were more than enough to make him set down the comm and make for the bar.  Slowly - since that damn leg still refuses to cooperate.

He's taken a booth away from the doors, off to one side, and is carefully working his way through a beer, nothing hard, not yet.  He's not that weirded out by the ( Read more... )

Definitely bother. brynkitten July 20 2010, 22:09:25 UTC
[Bryn was tired. She'd been running around a lot, working to get things settled in the new room, and now...now she was ready to rest and kick back with a beer.

She tended toward harder stuff usually, but at the moment Bryn wasn't aiming to get drunk, so much as relax.

When she saw Gavin tucked away off to the corner, she hesitated a moment, caught in indecision as to whether it would be better to ignore him or drop by. Her desire to be sociable won out in the end, and Bryn took her beers in hand and headed over to his table.

She didn't sit uninvited, but offered him a smile.]

Hey there.

[He's busy frowning at the book, marking pages, and doesn't register her approach until Bryn speaks. He actually jumps a little, and sets the book aside.]

Hi... I... didn't see you there.

[He sort of scoots over, in case she wants to sit, despite the fact that it's a big booth.]

How was moving?

[Bryn chuckled a bit and took a seat in the booth.]

Sorry, didn't mean to startle you...

[She took a sip of her beer, glancing at the book a moment, then set it down with a contented sigh.]

Moving went amazingly well. There are a lot of good people on board it seems. I had a lot of help.

[He shakes his head, and raises his bottle to her.]

It's fine. I was distracted.

[The book is entitled "The Hunt For The Skinwalker". He's pointedly not looking at it.]

Yeah? It... sounded like you got a good response. Glad to hear it.

[Hancock strolls into Sergei's and doesn't waste a whole lot of time. Gavin's ignored for now while the hero leaps over the counter and begins sorting through the bottles. Hm. Maybe some whiskey. Or Vodka. Peach vodka. Yeah.

After grabbing two bottles, he leaps back over the counter and stops shy of the booth Gavin's sitting in.]

That's my booth.

[He doesn't notice the other man in the bar. He's too busy frowning at that book, flipping and marking pages. It's only when Hancock speaks that he actually looks up, and blinks.]

It... is? Since when?

[But. Pushover that he is, he's starting to get up anyway--slowly, because standing up is never not a trial.]
