I can't watch the video until the kid wakes up from his nap (teething or some shit like that makes him a light sleeper), but I will comment on the whole 08 shit - I bought a flip video to take shots of the kid, thinking it was perfect for what I needed it for, and at 130 bucks, it was perfect ... until I tried using it with the 100 mile backstep that is iMovie 08. Fuck using more than 1 program to import a video.

So, I returned the Flip and shelled out some 800 bucks on a Canon ACHDVD camcorder - which, by the way, takes fabulous video for the money, and imports directly into iMovie 08, but(!) is a stupid purchase for anyone taking footage of spit up and drool.

I still keep iMovie HD on the computer (since 08 can't do shit). It's a free download from Apple you know?

They gave me the damn program for free and I don't want it. The one feature that I do like in imovie 08 is that you can rotate video right inside the program. Because every time I give my camera to someone to shoot a video guaranteed they turn that thing sideways.

looks like good, innocent fun. I think I will be experiencing my own unemployment machine here in the near future...Wachovia is eliminating 2/3rds of it's sales force we just found out and my numbers are sucking lately...so I wouldn't be surprised if I'm let go by September.
