Ok, might as well throw this one open...

Trying to decide which guitar I'm going to bring to OVFF. Since Toyboat isn't playing, I actually don't have a guitar full of gear and can actually contemplate *which* axe to bring to the con. So I'll throw this open to the unwashed masses, otherwise known as "my friends". Beast, btw, is the guitar in the LJ icon.

Well, if *I* had to carry it, it would be the simple, light 6. But as long as *you're* carrying it, the doubleneck is more interesting. :-)

D. All of the above. :)

See, no no, and no! This is the *first* con I've gone to in 3 years that I'll only be taking one guitar and harmonicas. No drums, no multiple electrics, no keyboards.

Windycon, on the other hand, *will* be "all of the above". The current count is wavering between six and seven total guitars.

Hee!!

If you only want "one" guitar, then the 6 string is definitively one guitar. The double neck is almost cheating into two guitars.

Dude, it's filk. You know plenty of people with twelve-strings who'll trade with you for a song. Enjoy having as little stuff as possible, and having the freedom to look around and play and do lots of stuff. You'll be chained to responsibility and overscheduled at Windy, so you may as well have all the options you can to work within those restrictive parameters.

I just showered ten minutes ago, by the by.

I haven't figured out what I'm bringing yet. Do I just go acoustic - which is getting pretty hard to play lately - or do
i go electric? Which then means i need to lug gear. Or do I bring nothing and just enjoy listening this time around. At this point I'd be OK with any of them. Decisions, decisions.

I'm going with just the six-string. Looking forward to a light relatively equipment-free con for once...

Ok, your Dad is bringing his 12 and mandolin for sure along with his son's Rick and trying to decide on one more (new Ganjo, Citern or Loude)Any ideas? Sue and are looking forward to seeing all of you. maybe we can go out for dinner together or something? Our plan is to leave thursday and either stay at Erie over night on the way or drive right through. I am also bringing a 2009 Duckon DVD of Toy Boat concert for Eric. Did I give you one or do you want a copy as well?

I'm in favor of the ganjo, personally. I don't have a copy of the 2009 concert yet, and would *love* one.

Dinner would also be wonderful. We're probably getting in a little after dinner on Friday, but anytime Saturday would be great.

I hate to ask this at the last minute...would it be possible to mongol some dark chocolate Aero bars? I think there's a secret Aero pipeline that terminates at my home...

I would except it's kind of hard to graft a second neck onto a Taylor...
