Adam slept in, but did text us about the Virginia Tech shooting spree. It was weird how it didn't seem like a big deal... Columbine took half as many lives and it is permanently burned in to our consciousness now. This really is a big deal... I just live in such a bubble these days because of GD that it's hard for anything but homework to phase me anymore.
I was just talking to Greg about this on the phone. This was a really horrific event and it didn't get to me at all. It's sad, but I just went about my day unphased. At least I am aware of the fact that I should probably be moved by this but all of the violence in society is making me immune to being affected by it.
glad the trip went well. for all the times I've been in Chicago I really haven't been downtown much at all. Maybe once or twice a year.
