Aww, how cute. I like the onsen ones with the tons of little pictures the best. I like seeing them all passed out on the futon, so cute. And the huge one of Yoko brushing his teeth cracks me up XD Thank you for posting them!
I don't know how you define as "darken so much that detail is lost"
Hi, thanks for considering my plea! ^^
Yes, I play with Photoshop a lot (some would say too much ^^;) so I'm familiar with all the balance levels. By "darkening" I mean that to get rid of the mottling effect, I can either darken the whole image (as you mentioned, using the image controls in PS or my scanner configurations) or isolate just the hair and darken that area, but even so, the mottling effect won't disappear until the point where the hair appears to be a solid black blob, which looks weird as well as not matching the levels of the rest of the image. I think maybe I just have to get a new scanner eventually, bcs I've read on tech forums that my scanner sucks LOL But I still think there might be some simple tip I am missing...
