Hamonic really has a combine tattooed on him? That is... unexpectedly precious.

I believe so... honestly it was the only large-scale farming implement that I could think of - the name popped into my head and I googled and it looked right? XD

lolol. No, it's definitely a combine. I spent 10 years living in a town of 250 people in the middle of rural Alberta when I was a kid unfortunately. I especially love the buildings in the back though. Looks sort of like an old school barn and a couple of grain silos, maybe? Oh, child, you are such a farm boy at heart.

Also, no worries. I basically blame anything and everything that seems to go wrong on LJ, and I'm seldom off the mark.

haha, right? That is a giant, permanent ode to farm boy-ness. His bio says he's from a town of ~1,000 but presumably he might actually be from anywhere in the surrounding area.

250, though, holy crap. Hoooooly crap. I once spent a little while (as long as humanly possible, probably) mapcrunching around Legal, Alberta, which seemed absolutely impossibly tiny to me and apparently has 1,225 people!! I'm super fascinated by remote communities on mapcrunch but I cannot imagine living in one!

I don't know if you've listened to the 5 December edition of the Marek vs Wyshynski podcast, but Katie Strang talks about the Islanders and she's very very complimentary about Frans Nielsen and what a gentleman he is. Thought it might interest you :)

oooh, thank you so much for this!! I don't listen to podcasts so I always need people to tell me when cute Islanders stuff happens. <333

Awww, I love Frans, and he seems like a lovely guy, but it's really nice to hear someone who deals with players all the time speak so highly of him. :))) Maybe I'll edit in a couple of her quotes!

You're welcome! I now want to know ALL THE THINGS about Frans Nielsen, which is why I came directly back to your wonderful primer :) I love the fact that he was one of the first to take part in You Can Play <333333
