Colored Carefresh bedding!

I love how Carefresh now comes in colors! However, I was wondering if you guys knew of any possible cons of using colored bedding.

Today was the first time we tried some purple Carefresh!

I think it's probably quite safe. But like others have said, the cost is prohibitive. We can barely afford the ugly gray stuff - we got some green once on sale after Christmas, and it was softer. We've also given them the white ultra for a treat. But cost - yowch!

mmhm, I don't mind the gray kind anyways, I just thought it'd be interesting to be colorful ^_^ and how does that white ultra work? is it softer than the grey stuff?

It's supposed to be less dusty. I think it may have been softer. But it's hard to remember!

However, the new store brand PetCo has, I am afraid of, because it says it has baking soda in it.

Do you know how they dye the bedding? That's the only concern I can think of about the coloured stuff. Does it say on the package what they use to dye it? I hope they use vegetable-based dyes.

I was wondering the same thing myself about the color Carefresh just to liven up my piggies cage from time to time. I'm glad to hear that it sounds pretty safe.

Also, your Harvie looks a lot like my Andy :)
