i'm SO happy, it's unbelievable.
i've always hated chants of "U S A U S A" - they're inappropriate and a loud, empty pride, shouted for no reason.
Obama is someone who doesn't congratulate us merely for being American - it's an accident of birth. he's telling us times are hard and we have to work hard to do good, we have to care for each other and most importantly, said that he's a politician FOR US - and that government is ours, in our name and for our sake.
i'm glad he won, it means we don't have to V out and Take It Back.
we have to work hard, but that's something to be proud of - i'm So Very Happy for the opportunity to redeem this nation.

YAY USA! we're not sitting on empty pride, we're going to make a change and DO something- for people.

... god i'm SO relieved....

I was slowly watching the votes crawl in from east to west in the states all day. I don't like McCain's policies, but I did respect the dude quite a bit, especially when he stood up against people saying he was an Muslim or an Arab (which isn't really slander, but whatever it's America where things can be taken as such).

I'm not surprised Obama won, but I am super happy he did. I'm taking this as a good sign for my Accounting exam today:P.

Addendum, he also looks like he's won the senate and house of representatives! Which is even better!
