As many of you know, I've been getting involved in Guinea Pig Rescuing. I've been dealing with some really gorgeous guinea pigs. In our last rescue there was a lovely, very skinny girl that we took in. She's been living with my friend Helen in Gretna, putting on weight and doing quite well. I guess though, at least she was happy and well fead when she went. Its still so sad though..

Aww, sorry to hear that. It's the worst part of animal rescuing when an animal you are trying to rehabilitate suddenly passes away but unfortunately there's little that can be done. :(

I myself am about to embark on small animal rescuing.

What made it worse that I had planned on keeping her - she's was such a sweet wee beastie, loved being picked up and cuddled and loved. I suppose on the plus side though, it means I now have more room for potential rehomers. of which I will be expecting a lot come feburary.

Ach well. Good luck with your rescuing. One peice of advice though, try and stick with one type as it cuts down on food costs, and space costs too. (For example, you wouldn't be able to keep rabbits and rats in the same room, due to hay issues etc.)
