She stashed her whip, her laptop, and a few other handy items in her captchalogue, listened closely for any warnings from the spirits, then told her lusus she was going out for a bit, then told her worldhopper she was ready.
Soon after that she was standing outside a very strange-looking hive, one of many in a row, and there was a familiar-looking human sitting on the steps in front of her. The young troll glanced around with wide, interested eyes, then smiled at Willow.]

It's probably best if we go inside your hive. Even if I'm not that different, I don't want to scare people who might see me.
