How can the city be so STUPID!? I can't believe I put any amount of faith in the police and the justice system...if you're going to release someone so criminal. Letting her, out? Are you insane! I know I spoke to one or two people in the system...making it known that she was definitely not a person safe to be around. Have you not seen the things ( Read more... )

first reaction, not happy, morons, marishka, anxious, anti-vampire for once?, upset, feels less safe once again, are you all idiots, angry, rant rant, stupid city, are you blind

You don't even know that.

To answer your question, yes I am.

Then try explaining.

There is absolutely no reason she should be out of prison.

Police Force is not in charge of the prison, for starters.

The justice system then, or the 'warden'.

You assumed she was just released.

You assumed wrong. The ignorance is yours. The Police Force, and the Warden, despite your misguided belief, is here to protect the people, and the matter is being taken care of. Had you bothered to ask before simply leaping to your own conclusions, this would have been made clear.

Oh yes, so taken care of. Which is why she is outside of jail. That's a great way to protect the people. I'd really like to know these steps, as a person who was once a victim of hers. Is there actually anyone on the force or justice system who knows anything about vampires? Several times people who ARE experts have made themselves known and offered help.

If they had been taken up, I doubt this would be an issue right now at all.

Hey, Yuuki, I have a question. Two, actually.

Do you think I wanted to die, trying to find a kidnapped girl and a boy I don't even know, just because I get kicks out of it?

When did these people offer to help, and how were they rejected?

I...I didn't want for anyone to get hurt...trying to help me.

We got to deal with the bureaucrats, just like anyone else. These things aren't always for us to decide, Yuuki.

I'm not...trying to blame you, Reno-san. But my testimonies...to the police in the past has fallen on deaf ears.

Understand that this person tortured and tried to murder me. I'm not happy to see her...out again. I don't trust any amount of monitoring outside of jail. She's insane and blood thirsty.

Isn't that part of the job? I know for a fact that every time I go out to hunt a vampire that I might not come back. If you aren't willing to die for your mission, you shouldn't be out there. Yuuki never asked to get kidnapped, nor did she ask for you to rescue her. For you to actually ask that question is not only unprofessional, but tactless.

And I was the one that offered to help. Nothing came of it but sending me to talk to others.

Look at the last part of my question; "just because I get kicks out of it". It's a serious job, and a thankless job. A damned thankless job. I work my ass off every day tryin' to make this place livable, and hearin' things like this makes me not want to do it anymore. If you guys had any idea what it's like being in my shoes, with hostile citizens and perps alike, most times with the citizens being ten times worse, because the perps had more of a justification, you'd probably have quit by now. It wasn't our decision to release Marishka, but we got to follow what few laws and procedure we have. Yuuki questioned that we protected people, and I questioned her back. Tell me again it was unprofessional and tactless.

And did you talk to them?

If you are in it for the thanks, you are in for the wrong reason. She DID thank everyone after her rescue or did you not pay attention that day? Speaking her mind isn't a crime. I understand why she did it. It wasn't like anyone listened to her before when she told them to keep her locked up.

This was coming from a person who is notorious for believing vampires are 'good'.

Yes, between curses and such things fell apart. I went home between then and now as well.

And I still say it was unprofessional and tactless to say that to her. I can think of a dozen ways to rephrase that to get your point across without attempting to guilt her into understanding your point of view.

I never said I was in it for the thanks, kid, I said hearing this bull, right here makes me not want to do it. Who would want to hear how they're completely useless after the crap they go through, doing their job every day?

Say what you want, I really couldn't give a damn.
