For the most part, taking the bus is uneventful. There is the Chatty Patty who shows off her knitting crafts to everyone around her and talks about the lovely mundane things like what time she set her alarm clock for that morning, which annoys me because she's loud and I don't like loud talkers first thing in the morning.  And then there are the

When I used to take the bus in West Mass, I had nicknames for a lot of my fellow passengers: ChitChat (the talkative woman), The smokestack (the guy I normally saw around town with an unlit pipe in his mouth), The Stink Twins (smelly married couple), The Vortex (heavy-breathing overweight guy). I also listened to all the sports talk, so I could have things to talk about at work.
