It's Only a Little Case of the Black Death (Closed to Susan and Three)

After the atrocity that was meeting the newer regeneration of his counterpart, the Doctor needed something to take his mind off the experience. He stomped through the corridors until he came across Susan.

"What are you up to, my child?"

My Child. That felt rather good.

Susan was just closing one of the doors she'd peered into during her exploration of the TARDIS. It had been some time since she'd run across the Master but the encounter was still easily fresh in her mind. She looked over at her grandfather with a calm gaze, almost cold in its recognition of him as she stopped and turned to face him, her hands folded behind her back. She was confused and frustrated, not to mention the other host of emotions welling up from her reaquaintance with the Daleks, and the only reaction she had readily at her disposal was the calculating manner more fitting of a Time Lord.

"I'm exploring the TARDIS, grandfather." She stated simply, without ceremony.

Whatever good feelings he got from seeing Susan, he lost them at her strange persona. She wasn't bubbly or excited to see him, or displaying any of the usual Susan-ness she often showed when exploring.

"Is everything alright?" he asked, placing a hand on her shoulder.

That hand on her shoulder gave him the contact needed to sense a tumult of emotions within should he see reason to pry in such a manner. Susan didn't move from the contact, she knew she was terribly easy to read most days without it, and it was her grandfather.

"Yes." She responded with a little hesitation, and then frowned a little as she ammended her statement. "I guess." She looked down at her shoes, considering how best to talk to him. She didn't want to make him angry at her, but she had so mamy questions and some of them were bound to displease him.

"You guess?" obviously a lie. "Tell me what happened, Susan." The Doctor used gentle tones to try and coax her out of avoiding answering with the more finer details.
