Plastic was not a form suitable for...any kind of movement at all, really, and Dimitri was less than thrilled with his state. Just trying to get out of bed had involved a good deal of rolling that had ended with injury to furniture and a hand (if you could call it a hand) that now faced the wrong direction

There was a pounding at Dimitri's apartment's door. Someone with plastic hands wasn't very good at fumbling for a key.

Someone also was pissed.

After Dimitri had broken down his bedroom door (much like the Kool-Aid man), he was wandering the apartment, trying to find a way to fix his hand when he heard the knock.

Like he could turn that knob. "Who is it?" Dimitri called through the door.

"Who the hell do you think it is?" Rose snapped. She was so thrilled. "Please tell me it's not just me, right?"

It wasn't like he could guess based on a knock. "Good luck getting inside," Dimitri muttered.

Of course, her hand probably wasn't facing the wrong way.
