Awww! We'd miss Henry! You can't put him away!
I have some double-sided tape for ladies clothes. Maybe that would work?

Doesn't hold up well... aka one good shot to the neck/head and they come off... that's another that I tried with the putty... Good idea though

Really and truly my best option is looking at seeing what a set of molded ears will cost... and finding a place to get them done...

What are you using for your prosthetics right now? Something from here http://www.aradanicostumes.com/elfears.php ?

A pair from Eddy's trick shop, but I don't have then anymore (they bottoms stuck together and then tore trying out the dried tech)

They are nice, however they are spirit glued down (at least i assume since that's the standard technique)

So, what part of the spirit gumming bugs you? How I do mine - I put a bit on the front flap that goes between my sideburn and ear, and then a little bit of spirit gum on the cuff at the bottom of the ear. Just those two places, nowhere else.

Do you do it the same way, and if so, where does it bug you?

Another possibility might be to get used to it - if you've still got the old pair, cut a few pieces of them off and glue them on in the same places where you glue the whole thing. Leave them on for a few days :)

As silly as it sounds.... it's mostly that I can't stand the stick.. every time it shifts, peels, moves or such I just want to rip them off.. and once I have them off I pick at the glue spots till all of it is off...

I suggest very small amounts of medical adhesive. Some costume stores do carry it. It's what professional clowns use for their noses. If you use just a very small amount right under the appliance then there will be no residual 'stick' as it will be all concealed. Also small spot welds will let it move better so it doesn't feel 'glued' to you.

My 2 cents.

That's awesome! I can stand tape for the most part and I have some medical tape, it's what I use to wrap handles lol :) thanks
