That sucks about DC, but I just spent a few days in Asheville and I really love it. I couldn't believe how friendly people were; people kept coming up to me randomly asking about the hat that I'd knit and then we'd end up having a conversation. I was going to stop by Biltmore, but it was a bit out of my price range.

Asheville is great. We had a blast. Biltmore is really nice, although I'd recommend not going at a peak time. I bought a year-pass while they were having a special, so my ticket's already paid for itself. It also got me a free guest pass for my friend. :)
