i hear ya! luckily the inn i worked at was really nice and all the outsiders coming in left 20%... but most of our customers were guests at the inn, who would stay anywhere from 3 to 15 days... so we serve them breakfast and dinner (included in their total bill) every night and they would leave like $20 when they left... which was split between like 7 of us... UGHHH. and this was a 4 course meal $90 bottle of wine place. WHAT THE HELL PEOPLE.
I absolutely agree. I always tip a solid twenty percent unless the service is completely horrendous. Is it so hard to throw down a good tip? No, and some people (my goddamn father) seem to not grasp such a simple concept. This is basic common courtesy, y'all.
