Karl Theodore Herrnsdorf Bogda was born today at 1045 local time (1345z). He weights 3.295kg (7.2+lb) and measures 51cm (20+"). He came a few weeks before schedule, but is fine and healthy.

BTW, the young man would appear to have excellent taste. Do you realise that today is the feast of no less a figure than St. Thomas Aquinas? (That's in the old calendar. Not sure where it is in the new one, but it hardly matters, as both are valid!)

Thank you... the habit of keeping good company must run in the family, you know. I believe the new calendar shifted the feast to some day in January, but as you say, it hardly matters. It's also the feast of St. Felicidad and St. Perpetua, martyrs.

Really? Felicity and Perpetua are on 6 March in the old calendar. I must have a nose through the new breviary to see where they put them when they shuffled everything around.

As for the habit of keeping good company... yes indeed. His father in particular has an impressive track record of doing just that! :D
