Thank you so much!

Actually, Adam didn't use the condom, he just let Ando think he did. I think his body would just automatically kill any germ or virus that came near him, anyway. This is only the second time I've brought up condoms in a fic. Usually I write in fandoms where either they don't exist or the characters wouldn't use them anyway, either because they're not quite human or the time period.

DW is Dr Who, right? I confess that I'd never heard of the show until I started watching Heroes and noticed people talking about it everywhere. I'm interested in watching it, but I really don't have time right now. I have too many Heroes bunnies as it is.

I actually took Adam's notion of time from Jorge Luis Borges (the infinite possibilities, diverging timelines). As I was trying to figure out this fic, I reread some of his stories and figured that Adam might be a Borges fan.

The condoms in fanfiction thing is part of a debate about how realistic sex should be portrayed. One side thinks that sex scenes should be exactly like in real life. The other thinks that since we're fantasizing anyway, there's no reason to be stressing out about those details. There are many "real" elements that get left out to make the scene run more smoothly. One that bothers me is when sperm mysteriously disappears. Most people forget about the wet spot on the bed. Ando actually fell asleep on it, but he was really tired. I'm somewhere in the middle on that debate. Mostly, I like to pretend that STDs don't exist because it's more reality than I want in my fiction, unless there's a specific plot purpose for it. But that's just me.

Your phrasing and your insight into this fandom is truly art. I love the way you delve into this pairing and create potential canon situations. It's wonderful. You managed to show Adam's obsession with Hiro without actually having Hiro around, but everyone else. I loved your description of Hiro's apartment and Adam's need to have Ando know why he was going to die. Excellent. *showers with love* ^^

Thank you so much! I'm happy that this fic is working out so well. I'm basically writing what Adam tells me. He's one of the best characters I've written.

I can feel you already humming in the air, your voice whispering in the silence. You're close. Just a few more days and you'll be here. I know it.

Beautiful, beautiful, absolutely beautiful. It's pretty unusual for a fic (especially a pairing-centric one) to get so... realistic and philosophical at the same time. Though I suppose Adam lends himself well to philosophy, yes? Anyway - wonderful work. This fic is loved.

Thank you very much! This is the most philosophical thing I've written. I was just reading a Borges story one day and Adam woke up in my brain. Philosophy does fit him quite well. He's certainly had plenty of time to think.
