Movie expectations insist on falling upside down.

I expected to like Clash of the Titans. Ha! After they killed off Mads Mikkelsen's character, there was no point paying attention anymore. Then I expected to love Robin Hood. I enjoyed it. I don't feel it doesn't work. But leading your audience to believe that you're giving them one thing and then giving them something else is not going to make ( Read more... )

Screenplay! Congratulations! You'll probably find something to add when you go back and read through it. That usually happens when I write.

I really don't know about movies this summer. Nothing has really caught my attention. I have so much TV to catch up on anyway, so perhaps I'll just devote myself to that.

Thanks! I think the additions are mainly going to be flashbacks to establish the emotional relationships between the characters so people understand what's going on. I got lazy with those on the first draft.

There isn't that much out there as far as Hollywood is concerned. I wonder what smaller films there are out now, but of course since I'm at the edge of the middle of nowhere, they don't put those films in the theatres, which is frustrating. TV is better, anyway. And longer. :)
