Rabies? Domestic mice? That is so stupid. Tetnus, yes (I have personal experience of Bedivere bite induced tetnus shots); rabies no. And everyone knows small children shouldn't be left with rodents as small children can't resist poking the cute fluffy and rodents are *seriously* territorial and will bite.

I'll second that want.

I really dislike seeing people being so callous towards children or toward people's much beloved. And I'm slightly a little annoyed myself in this area from when my mother laughed at me as I was burying my petfish of two months a week ago, annoying how while she was not sensitive about laughing because I was digging a big hole for such a wee fish (in case of raccoons), she was sensitive enough to narrow her eyes and maintain the tension the whole day after I mentioned that incident to my neighbours who asked me what I was doing with the shovel and "that face".
