Turks and Caicos move to join Canada

Turks and Caicos are like that guy who has dated a woman from high school until their 40's, but never proposed and now everyone just sorta laughs at them in a noncomittal sort of way.

It was more like Turks and Calicos have been hinting at Canada for ages, marriage was talked, but then Canada said no along the lines of "didn't want to take advantage", meanwhile, family members HeadDesk their way to a coma, while social scientists figured that some nice guys end up last because they can't get a fucking cue.

I think there are other problems, definitely, such as the payment we'll have to give in the beginning, the potential corruption with that big wad of taxpayer's cash. To give as a reason that it was because we don't want to come off as "neocolonists" however, total WTF?
