I was also pleasantly surprised by his speech, however it was a good contrast for Paul Martin, because he was never able to speak in that manner because they were so focused on fear-mongering.

I think Paul Martin could do that as well, he seems to have a similar temperment to Harper, but a bit more animated on the rights and wrongs of the world.
