//The other thing is that my kids, and you notice this when you have your own kids, from the time they were DAYS old would drool at the smell of meat. Babies drool when they're hungry.//

Wow, amazing.

You have kids now? I remember reading that your partner is still pregnant, or rather about economcis or living or shopping stuff now that the two of you are expecting a child. Congrats.

Still don't know how the Hindus pulled it off, they look healthy enough, Christ, these people invented martial arts before the Chinese. I wonder if our bodies are used to different things after all, after centuries. Than again, maybe all the people who are weakened by a meat-free diet in Ancient India gradually die out and is replaced by the people who aren't bothered by it, good reasons not to try it on your kids unless you plan to select breed out of a bunch then...

//refusing a blood transfusion because of religious beliefs.//

I never have enough words of outrage against that, unless it's someone over 18 for him or herself, because hey, free will, but it doesn't extend over to your child, who is another human being.

I have my irrational beliefs too, little rituals, obsessive fandom, but they don't get people killed.

Did no one tell this woman to breastfeed on demand?
At 6 mo, the child should still be getting the majority of calories from nursing, and possibly eating cereal and some pureed vegetables.

I'm horrified. Couldn't they tell the kids were hungry?

//grown more than one foot//

I was BORN with two..

Just kidding.

Im an ex-competitve athlete, I became vegetarian when I "retired" from competition, lasted 3 years before ill health send me into hospital. Despite visiting a dietician and following an eating plan I still wasnt getting enough protein. This became worse when I started training for triathalons, basically to keep muscle bulk and be able to run for 4 hours a day I needed to eat meat.

5 years later and I dont regret "reforming" at all!

Found you on anti_vegan - my sister is STILL a militant vegan, however very unfit and always tired!
