i've been playing plenty with my new computer and realized that now i can download music. i can even burn cds! it's been so long since i've been able to download music that i don't know what's the best (free) way. what do you all use? let me know, please. i'm outta the loop.

soulseek is awesome for harder to find stuff. limewire takes care of all you favorite 80s hits.

limewire is the best, and not for just mainstream music. like ben said, soulseek is good for harder to find stuff and rarely has bad copies of songs... but i think overall, it has a lot less users. to be honest... use both! at the same time! it also doesn't hurt to get itunes... every now and then i'll pay 99cents for a song if i want to make sure i have a good, clean copy.

Jenny Lewis' CD is the best, it has been heavy in rotation here for more than a month and I am bugging everyone.
