I just wanted to thank you all for your wonderful support on my previous entry about my sexual orientation. It's been very difficult and depressing for the past couple of days. I had a meeting with the girl I have a crush on to discuss the play (by ourselves) and the entire time was a big wake up call, and I realized that I do like this girl ( Read more... )

You don't have to censor yourself, I just wanted to let you know if anyone said anything. It makes some of us cringe, because it implies a choice, which is often a crutch of those who condemn homosexuality.

It irks me more because it suggests that homosexuality automatically comes with "flaming princess" (men) or "butch rugby player" (women) mannerisms, and involves having a social life centred exclusively around gay clubs/pubs and musical theatre.
