I don't see what Blackwater has to do with gay rights, thus making it relevant to the community. It seems like you three sentences to segue into an opinion piece about US contractors in Iraq, which most definitely doesn't belong here.

The plights of gays in Iraq (and many other parts of the world, in particular the middle east) is unfortunte. I know we've had several articles discussing these problems. Because they don't seem to be approving much.
