DNA analysis from 112 male-to-female transsexual volunteers showed they were more likely to have a longer version of the androgen receptor gene.

I copied the title of the article. On clicking the link now, I see that they have changed it, so presumably someone noticed the error and rectified it. I will do the same.

This doesn't make sense to me.
"We think that these genetic differences might reduce testosterone action and under masculinise the brain during foetal development,"
Why wouldn't it also "under masculinise" the external genintalia? It seems to me more a mechanism for intersex than transsexualism.
