I figured I'd say hello and not lurk in the shadows of the comm like a crazy person

Why hello there! I just recently joined this community.
So, let me introduce myself, shall I?

My name is Jina and I am, in fact, an omnisexual (which means I'll fall in love with anyone however, in my case, I tend to like girls much more). I turned 16 a little while ago. I've known for sure about my sexuality since I was 13 or so and I was in ( Read more... )

Thank you. I have noticed that this community has been wonderfully active so I hope to comment more in the future. :D

Yes, even years after the first time I had a physical relationship with another girl I never even considered it because it was just too weird. However, over the years I just couldn't deny it. I'm just too gay. xD

I know I still have a lot of thinking to do before I'll ever be comfortable enough to come out to anyone. I think I might even come out to my parents before my friends. I know them well enough that they would never abandon me.

xD And I suppose that must be why I have no 'gaydar'. I can't read body language at all. O.O; Thanks for setting that straight for me. It seems I have to find out the old-fashioned way: by asking. :D

Welcome, Jina. It's cool to meet you. I don't know where in the country you are, but I've been surprised at the number of people who've come out in schools in places where you would expect trouble, but were pleasantly surprised to find that a lot of people were supportive, and that a lot of people who aren't supportive remain indifferent or just don't give people any serious trouble.

Well I happen to live in a place where EVERYONE takes the bible just a tad too seriously. Especially in Debate class arguing gay marriage I hear people say the worst things about us that make me want to cower in the corner afterwards. But it's nice to hear that some people were suprised when they came out. I sincerely hope that happens more often than what I hear about. :D

Welcome.

How is omnisexual different from bisexual?

Well a bisexual only likes the two genders: boy and girl. Omnisexuals, however, fall for anyone: girls, boys, genderqueers, transgenders, etc.

It's sort of like being gender-blind. Sometimes I really struggle with seeing the difference in a man, woman, etc. (besides the obvious psychical one of course). It's all the same to me. :D

I do believe that lawlcyanide is right. I don't think there's a difference between omnisexual or pansexual.

Though I was told once that pansexuals draw the line at humans and omnisexuals go even beyond that. I'm not sure if that's correct though.

Its not different Kitarou, I actually researched it right when I read that because I was curious as to what omnisexual was. From all the sites I got, they said that Pansexual and Omnisexual were the same. I consider myself Pansexual as well.

Anyways, welcome Jina!
So glad that you posted, I haven't even posted my own
welcome thread here. Im sorry to here about your
school. I agree with the previous comments about coming out.
=/

I haven't come out either though.
I hope you post again!
You should add me, I'd love to get to know you
even though you're shy.
I talk a lot so you'll be fine

Welcome to the community. :)

Your school has gay people in it. They just aren't out of the closet. But give it time. You'll have the potential to be in a more accepting place down the road.

Thank you for the kind welcome. x3

If what you say is true, I do hope I come across others like me soon. :D
But I am pleased to say that every college I'm thinking of attending has some sort of GSA. I'm really excited about it.
