The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy quote reminds me of a line from The Man From U.N.C.L.E. that I've never forgotten - "Some wounds never heal, they just grow old with time itself."

And the Neil Gaiman one reminds me of The Princess Bride line - "Life is pain."
