Is there such a thing as the standard Yuletide panic scale?

I mean, I know some of it, but only some of it. If I've missed anything obvious, can someone chime in, please?

I think it runs:

How panicked are you?

What panic?  My story's done.
Hey, 1,000 words, I'm more than halfway there, no problem.
Um.  Biting nails a little, since I have an idea but so far I don't have enough words...
Pardon me, I'll just run in ( Read more... )

hl chronicles, challenges, psa, what was i thinking?

How about my favorite "Oh my god, I have 7,000 words and I'm not half finished!"

Oh, *GOD*. Yes. That problem. (Killa is having that problem. "I'm past the minimum wordcount, but the plot's 6K from done, AHHH!")

Thank you!

My Yuletide stories seemed to get progressively longer, while the Yuletide writing period got progressively shorter as the years went on. I haven't done Yuletide in a while--*sigh*.

Isn't there one about "I know it's close to midnight but I still need to add 3K words and ten scenes to make it right?" Otherwise known as "I don't know when to stop" syndrome.

And I know. I intend to sit down this weekend and wrestle both these stories into shape. Using fudge bars and moccachinos as bribes.

::laughing:: I'm so so sorry, I thought I'd replied to this! Yes. That should be a category for this!

Good luck, I'm still working on both of mine!!
