"Lie to Me" is my current obsession: Tim Roth plays Dr. Cal Lightman, a deception expert, observing "micro-expressions" to tell when a person is lying or has an emotional response to something.
The show does a really good job of showing what the micro-expressions are and what they signify. (And, according to the DVD extras, makes directing the episodes tricky as acting direction can be something like, "make sure to twitch your upper lip for an instant of disgust, but only briefly.") I think the science is actually valid, although I'm guessing pretty exagerated.
The personal relationships of the main characters are also pretty awesome as you can imagine with a bunch of people who identify lies and hidden agendas professionally.
I'm not sure if I want Cal to meet Methos and have to try figuring him out; if Methos and Cal are old friends; or if Methos *is* Cal.
I definitely recommend the series.
