Masochistic?

So, I decided, in the back of my convoluted little gryphonic brain that okay, fine, the whole overweight thing has gone on long enough. Mind, I did that six months ago, at least? When just walking and keeping an eye on my diet didn't do much (well, okay, it got me down one size in jeans, but the weight didn't drop) I went and had a chat with my ( Read more... )

No, you're not masochistic; you're intelligent! I'm going off to my freshman year of college tomorrow, and I plan on taking full advantage of the gym facilities on UK's campus. If the goal is to be healthy, strong, and have stamina, and not to be thin and tanned (nice side-effects, but shouldn't be main focus), you're thinking about your future!

Greetings Rhiannon,
New friend here though I've been addicted to your fan fiction for quite some time. It's gotten me through the hell my life has been since the first of the year. I can empathise with your hypoglycemia, I've battled it for years. I'm also hitting the weights though it's for physical rehab, I was injured at work last of January this year. Decided to see if gravity was still a law, and ended up finding out that the earth still sucks. Prognosis is iffy for a full recovery at this time though I'm working on it. Gods willing I can at least get to a level of functioning normally and get off the major drugs I'm on for pain.
Another topic, I loved your view on Lucien LaCroix. Much the same as my own as a matter of fact, Gods forbid our two LaCroix muses ever get together. I've a couple of fan fic archive addresses to pass on if you like reading other authors views on the noble General if you're intrested, drop me a line any time.

If it's fun.... anonymous August 11 2001, 05:23:41 UTC
it's fun! When I actually get motivated to work out, I love weight-lifting. I'm hoping to make time this coming semester to use my weight room more, especially since I've started exercising more too. It's so cool to realize how much better you feel after sticking with it for a bit (and getting over the intial 'Oh my god I am going to die of sore muscles' *grin*) And I wish I had muses that talked to me when I'm working out. Instead I get some piece of incredibly random music (I think the last one was carol from my last Christmas Vespers performance) that I end up falling into rhythm with. Free weights and Christmas carols. hee.

Hope to follow in your footsteps... goldenfire August 21 2001, 22:17:58 UTC
I'm heading back up home for the first time in over 10 years. I hope to drop some of the weight and actually use the gym membership I already have. I also believe I'm a little hypoglycemic as well. And sence Diabeties is in my family off and on, I need to watch out for it. Wish me luck, and I hope you continue to do well. :)
