::laughing:: Yeah, well, I'm working on long ones in the meantime, but hey. I don't believe I never posted that!
Glad you liked it; Rich is really enjoying studying various things with them. And they want him to have his GED, to know he *can* pass something academic and formal. (And hey, at least Rich knew it was a lawyer comment?)
No, Rich wasn't dumb. Young, impulsive, and undereducated, sure. But not dumb. He was coming along pretty well by the end of the show (other than the descent into idiocy of "Ransom of Richard Redstone," which has very funny parts but, um, no, really, Rich, DUMB moves!), so I tend to write him as having potential.
Great job at portraying someone intelligent but uninformed. My best friend works retail. Due to conversations with coworkers and the general public she is often hit with the realization that many of the things we (she, her husband, & I) take as common information were learned outside of the classroom.
::nodding:: Yeah, I run around with well-read people myself, but two of them work in public services and it reminds me a lot of how much we take for granted that isn't common information. Rich is undereducated, but Damien and the others are working on it. Thanks for the feedback!
I remember that the new bits of Sirocco were a lovely diversion from my misery at nine months gestation and waiting. He will be ten in April. Time flies when you're having fun, hm?

The bit about the Devil's Advocate...so undereducated American!
The notion of all of them taking Rich under their wings and teaching him is great.
Boy, 3 stories posted in less than a month, we're all getting spoiled and loving it!

He just needed to meet people who like teaching, whether they're currently doing it for employment or not!
Rich is going to be a seriously dangerous immortal if he can learn to curb his temper and keep learning.

(Coincidentally, I'd started to read the Line War series on my Palm given that my day involved a lot of sitting around waiting for things to happen.)
