Finally got a chance to sit and read these. Love them all, but I must admit to having favorites: the Sunda story and the Darius tale.

Sunda knows that the best way to stay safe is to be someone important to the community without holding power over them. People will look out for a smith or a healer the way they never would for a landlord.

And I can just see Darius seeing helping out anyone he sees in need of his special skills. Just because he's taken vows doesn't mean he will pass by someone in 'spot of trouble'. I would assume he's found lots of ways of teaching that doesn't conflict with his vows.

And of course I love Micheal's outsider's view of Richie's stupidity. Mac really should have sent him to Connor so he could pound some sense into the boy -- and make him understand that dying a teenager didn't mean you had to follow your hormones for eternity.

Oh, damn, I'm sorry! I thought I was caught up on feedback! YEah, those are my favorites, too, although I love the POV on that Richard Redstone ep. And I think Darius liked the way Michael's face look when he relaxed, actually. And unconscious is pretty relaxed.

::sigh:: Yeah. Rich would have done much better with another teacher, damn it. Pity.
