Back to redhead again, but shoulder-length this time. ::amused:: And I kind of forgot to warn people I was doing this. Like, oh, Merewyn, and my ballet class, and my family... Right after a haircut, too. Hmm. Come to think about it, I didn't warn Merewyn about that, either. Dinner tomorrow/tonight should be fun. Clearly, I'm very easily amused ( Read more... )

Thanks! I'd forgotten how much fun henna is to play with. My poor tub, though! (I foresee scrubbing in my future.)

Funny I just went really red again myself.

I usually go for a red/gold, but this time it came out more old penny than new penny. My boss pointed out that it does really bring out my eyes, but I agree with you, give hair color a week to calm down before saying 'this is the color'.

::giggling:: It's now (after two washings) a little more orange than your icon. I'm hoping it settles down soon. And yay, more redheads!

Thankfully, in all my years of 'enhancing' my red hair, I've only had one time where it came out clown-orange. I showed up at the salon the next day, took off my hat and said 'Help!'

Three processes and several hours later it looked pretty good, and I swore off using that shade ever again!

Right about the time we got married, the stylist screwed up the coloring on her hair. A friend of ours went with me when I went to speak to the people at the hair salon... and when we walked out of there, he just looked at me and said, "You know, sometimes you're really not a very nice person, are you?"

It was the first time he'd ever seen me "play with my food," as he put it. ::G::

Go Redheads!!! LOL I've been dying my hair off and on sense about 20 years old. Use to use A golden brown because it actually brought out my red highlights. About 2 years ago decided to try something new. Went light auburn.. OMG. talking about BRIGHT RED!!!! I've sense switched to a dark auburn, it's perfect! dark enough for my skin tone, and light enough to fit my style. I have so much platinum (No not silver or grey... way to shiny for those two colors) in my hair that I have natural highlights no matter what color I use. LOL So enjoy the red... grin
