Friday Fannish Five placeholder and pimping

I'm running out the door in a second for caffeine before an early lunch with my mom, but I'm posting this here while I think about it. And the Friday Five is for anyone who feels like answering it... ::shoos hints off into the ether only slightly less vigorously than chickens off a porch::

In honor of your icon it comes first

SGA, exploding tumors
Highlander, the whole demon thing
SGA, the second Lucius Lovin ep
House, the Tritter arc (OMG, the man is not a junkie!)
SG1, killing Jacob Carter

See, that is what sometimes makes me hate that show. House is missing half of his thigh, and he's in a whole lot of pain all the damn time. He needs the Vicodin to function, to live a halfway decent live. Of course his body is dependent on it. Aside from the whole pain management thing, you can't take that kind of medication for years and years without becoming physically dependent on it. That doesn't make a junkie in my eyes. He doesn't take the pills for a pleasant buzz, but because without them he'd be a whimpering wreck, curled up in a corner of the room.

And I wish the show's writer would realise there is a difference between needing drugs for a legitimate reason, like pain management, and being a drug addict in the vernacular sense. < /rant >

1. HL - I'll second axing the whole demon arc.
2. FK - The last two eps... they killed everyone off!
3. Quantum Leap - The last line of the last ep where they say Sam never got home.
4. HL:R - Amanda's shooting Nick to make him Immortal, really the whole "slow-acting poison won't trigger immortality" thing.
5. B5 - The end of the war with the Shadows. Come on? Sheridan talks them out of fighting?

And, geez, I watch way too much Sci-Fi.

There is such a thing as too much Sci-Fi?

I'm in on one, two, and four! Didn't watch 3 and 5, but agree with you!

HL: The Zone
HL: The Blitz
HL: AAA
HL: Endgame
HL: The Source

Hmmm, can you tell I'm a little HL-centric? *grin*

::amused:: I can't say anything. I didn't entirely play by the rules on mine... (Agree with yours, though!)

Um, yes, spoiler warnings are good. I don't know what you're talking about and do not want to hear it before I can see it. Thanks!

HL: killing Tessa...yes, it was dramatic, but was it really necessary?

Didn't they kill Tessa because the actress wanted out? That's what I vaguely recall, anyway.

So many fandoms, so many bad episodes!

I'd definately have to jump on the HL:AAA bandwagon and put that as my number one. The rest of the list is harder to come up with, I mean really, just five?

Ok, just in order that they pop up in my brain, not priority:

Tasha Yar's death on ST:TNG
Most of Seasons 6 & 7 of Buffy (I liked the musical)
All 3 Star Wars Prequels (although I like young Obi-Wan, Anikin just pisses me off.)
And just to round it off:
All HL movie sequels. (OK, if I have to pick one it's Endgame. No way Connor would do that!)

Yeah, I know it asked for episodes, scenes or lines, but you've got to admit that the bad outweighed the good in a lot of these.

::laughs:: Hey, I reshaped the thing to suit myself, no problem, dear! Yeah. I'll go with yours. Although I'd like to salvage Principal Woods if we could in Buffy... (Musical was damn good, yes!)

Yeah, Woods is a good character, I liked the idea of a Slayer having had a child and the world-view that child would have.

Well, and let's not forget the drop dead hot aspects there! ;-> (Or was that just me? If so, oops!)
